Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we deliberately don't.

What we collect
A session identifier. A random value stored in a first-party cookie (pd_sid). It is not derived from anything about you and is not linked to your identity. It exists so we can tell that several page views came from the same visit, which is what makes a meaningful click-through rate possible.
Aggregate usage events. Which products and categories were viewed, what was searched for, and which outbound links were clicked — along with a coarse device category (mobile, tablet or desktop), the host name of the referring site, and a two-letter country code if our network provider supplies one.
Account details, if you create an account. Your email address, an optional display name, and a password stored only as a bcrypt hash. We cannot read your password.
Price alerts, if you create any. The product, target price, currency and optional condition or country filter of each alert, and the notifications we create when a price is reached. When e-mail is enabled on this site, we send those notifications to your account address; you can turn e-mail off per alert or delete an alert at any time, which removes it.
What we deliberately don't collect
We do not store IP addresses. We do not store raw browser user-agent strings — the browser string is reduced to one of three device buckets and then discarded. We do not store full referring URLs, only the host name, because a full URL can carry personal information in its query string.
Your wishlist and comparison selections are kept in your browser's local storage on your own device. They are never transmitted to us unless and until you sign in and explicitly choose to sync them.
Third parties
When you click an outbound link you enter the destination marketplace's own systems, governed by their privacy policy, not ours. The affiliate programmes we participate in set their own cookies at that point in order to attribute a sale.
If advertising is enabled on this site, the ad provider may also set cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the full breakdown.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to certain processing. Because we hold so little — essentially an account record, if you made one — these requests are usually straightforward. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
You can clear the session cookie at any time through your browser settings. Doing so does not degrade the site; it simply starts a new anonymous session.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page. This is a template rather than legal advice — have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer for your jurisdiction before launching commercially.
