Lead Vise for Stretching Came for Stained Glass

This listing is for a BRAND NEW metal lead vise for clamping lead while stretching it. Lead came needs to be stretched to straighten it before using it, which removes kinks and makes it easier to handle. This vise features spring-loaded jaws for ease of use. Designed to be mounted on the edge of a workbench (we've actually got ours mounted in a doorway), it allows the end of the lead to be clamped, while grabbing the other end to stretch it. We use a pair of pliers to grab the other end, and pull until the came is stretched appropriately. Tip: Make sure you brace your feet well when pulling the lead, or you could have a quick meeting between your rear end and the floor!
