Vintage 1960 Penny Pineapple mechanical bank by Imswiler & Saylor of York, Pennsylvania, produced to commemorate Hawaii becoming the 50th state.
This example is marked “July 4, 1960” on the back and “1st Run of 500” on the bottom plate, identifying it as an early first-run example.
Measures approximately 9” tall x 6” wide. Features colorful painted cast-metal construction with movable arm and mechanical bank action.
Overall good condition for its age with scattered paint wear, small chips, surface marks and normal age-related wear. Original finish presents very well overall.
