2022 WikiReader Archive - Human-Only Content - May 2022 Offline Wikipedia

This is a complete, offline snapshot of the English Wikipedia from May 2022. It is loaded onto a high-performance USB 3.0 128GB flash drive.

We began offering our Wikipedia drives in early 2022 and some of our original customers recently came back to us wanting additional copies of those original files. We asked "why wouldn't you want the latest update", and their answer was very clear. AI chatbots are now writing large chunks of the internet's content, and it's clear how altered everyone's writing patterns have become. Here you have a snapshot of human history and knowledge, frozen in time just as it was pre-AI.

Below you'll can get a glimpse of how AI summarizes these ideas; and yes, human writing just sounds different.

The May 2022 date is important. It is a Pre-AI archive, captured before the general public release of ChatGPT and the influx of machine-generated articles. This database represents a pure record of human-edited knowledge. There are no AI hallucinations or bot-written summaries here, just the original work of the Wikipedia community as it stood in early 2022.

Technical Setup
