Original 18th Century Dried Flower Specimen – Antique Herbarium Botanical Art (1790–1810, England)
Own a rare and authentic piece of botanical history. This original antique dried plant specimen comes from an 18th-century Herbarium Collection of Flowering Plants, collected in England between 1790 and 1810 by early naturalists and botanists.
Herbaria are collections of preserved plant specimens, often curated for research and reference in natural history museums and botanical gardens. Each dried flower is carefully pressed and mounted by hand on laid and chain paper, many with watermarks, making every piece entirely unique.
Crafted with genuine, over 200-year-old plant materials, these botanical antiques are not reproductions — they are original scientific specimens with historic and decorative value. The aged paper and delicate plant forms bring warmth, character, and a connection to the natural world.
Perfect for:
- Nature lovers and plant collectors
- Rustic, cottagecore, or farmhouse decor
- Antique botanical art enthusiasts
- Museum-quality natural history displays
Add vintage charm and authenticity to your home or collection with this one-of-a-kind dried flower artwork — a timeless treasure from the 18th century.
Condition
Each specimen is ready for framing and arrives with an archival acid-free 2-ply board and in a poly sleeve suitable for archival storage. Being that this paper is over 200 years old, it is in very good condition. The paper is lightweight, strong and not brittle. The reverse side of the print is blank. All items are stored in a smoke-free and pet-free home.
