Antique 1895 German 3 Weight Driven Highly Carved Vienna Regulator Wall Clock
Up for auction or sale is a stunning, beautifully crafted antique three-weight Vienna Regulator wall clock. This magnificent timepiece features an ornate, solid wood case—likely walnut or mahogany—showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. The top is crowned with a highly detailed, hand-carved floral pediment crest, while the long glazed front door is flanked by two prominent, deeply fluted architectural columns. The case tapers elegantly down to a matching stepped bottom finial drop, making it a commanding and sophisticated statement piece for any home or gallery.
The clock features a traditional mechanical movement driven by three polished brass weights. Visible through the pristine glass panels, the weights are complemented by a large, gleaming brass pendulum bob that adds beautiful kinetic movement when in operation. The classic white enamel dial is exceptionally clean, featuring crisp black Roman numerals, a fine outer minute track, and elegant spade-style metal hands. This triple-weight configuration indicates a high-end movement, featuring grand sonnerie striking, chiming the number of the quarter and following by the number of the hour every 15 minutes.
Condition: case in an original finish with normal wear and tear, matching its age. Original pendulum bob, bracket and mechanism with matching serial number. Touch up on the porcelain dial near the center hole. Bottom drop has been replaced. Clock in working order. Some adjustment may be needed after delivery, due to its age and shipping condition.
