Antique Oak Music Stand Cast Iron Claw Feet Adjustable Tripod

Beautiful antique adjustable oak music/conductor stand, believed to date to the early 20th century, circa 1900–1920.

The stand features an open-frame solid oak music rest mounted on an adjustable metal post with a substantial cast-iron tripod base and decorative paw/claw feet. The base retains an attractive aged black and gold/bronze painted finish with natural wear and patina.

The underside of the cast-iron base is marked 59 believed to be a casting or pattern designation. Maker is currently unknown.

The height adjusts from approximately 37 1/2” to 57”, making it suitable for use as a music, conductor, reading or display stand.

Measurements:

• Oak music frame: 20” W × 14 1/2” H
• Minimum stand height: approx. 37 1/2” (stand only)
• Maximum adjustable height: approx. 57” (stand only)
• Tripod foot span: approx. 13 1/2”
• Base marked: 59

Wonderful original antique character throughout. The cast iron shows paint loss, oxidation and surface wear consistent with age. The oak has age-related wear and patina. The original finish has intentionally been left unpolished/unrestored to preserve its antique character.
