These turtles come from a farm where they are bred for food. These are the ones that didn't make it and died naturally. The Red Eared Slider is a subspecies of turtles known as Pond Sliders. Its scientific name is Trachemys Scripta. They are one of the most popular pets around the world. Due to pet release they have become one of the worlds top 100 most invasive species. This turtle in resin makes for an excellent educational piece or great addition to any oddities and curiosities collection.
Real turtle in lucite measures approximately 3 inches tall.
Like all specimen in resin, the size positioning and coloration of the turtle within the lucite block can vary slightly. We guarantee a quality specimen but not the exact one shown. The piece you receive could be slightly different.
