Bulova Brass Mantel Clock Sears Credit Trust Wall Street Deal Tombstone Goldman

Vintage Bulova Heavy Brass Quartz Mantel Clock — Sears Credit Account Trust Wall Street Deal Tombstone Gift | Goldman Sachs | Salomon Brothers | Dean Witter Reynolds

Rare history — a classic Wall Street “deal tombstone” commemorative clock, presented to participants in not one but two landmark Sears Credit Account Trust bond securitization offerings:

1990 E — $500,000,000 — November 27, 1990

1991 B — $500,000,000 — May 16, 1991

Underwriters: Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. · Goldman, Sachs & Co. · Salomon Brothers Inc.

These deals were part of Sears’ aggressive financial strategy during the Discover Card era — securitizing billions in credit card receivables to fund one of the most ambitious retail banking expansions in U.S. history. Only a handful of these commemorative gifts were ever made and distributed to the bankers, executives, and deal team members involved.
