A scarce piece of English parliamentary history. Cromwell had risen to prominence during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms, following which he successfully lobbied for the execution of Charles I in 1649. Serving as Lord Protector from 1653 to 1658, he was briefly succeeded by his son until the restoration of the English monarchy in 1660. Please see closeups for text.
