The answer is simple ? the cost lies in the process. The material itself isn?t costly, but the polishing is. Because of its special curved shape, the only ?machine? that can achieve a true mirror finish is the hand. Each shining bean takes about 3?4 hours of careful, repetitive hand polishing.
The price truly reflects the craftsmanship and time behind it. And although it?s made of steel, the surface is delicate ? please treat it as a meticulously handcrafted piece of art, with patience and care.
Inspired by Chicago?s iconic Cloud Gate and natural bean, this Mirror Bean shape sculpture is a sleek, hand-polished art piece crafted from solid 304 stainless steel. Each piece is precision-cast, CNC-refined, and mirror-finished by hand, creating a stunning reflective surface that captures light and space. Compact and weighty, it serves beautifully as a desk ornament, home accent, or thoughtful gift for design lovers. Whether you?re drawn to its urban inspiration or minimalist form, Mirror Bean brings a quiet elegance to any space.
