A signed original Art Protis wall hanging by Brno-based artist Jana Zlámalová, titled "Kingstone Rd." and dated 2000.
Art Protis is a celebrated Czech textile technique invented in Brno in 1964, in which loose dyed wool fibers are "painted" onto a base fabric and permanently fixed with fine stitching — prized internationally since winning awards at Expo Montreal and Expo Osaka. This piece depicts a moody, semi-abstract nighttime cityscape: pale geometric building forms rise against a deep indigo sky, with a diagonal road or rail line threaded with orange and yellow stitched accents suggesting lights or motion.
Numbered (No. 79368) and labeled on the reverse by Art-Domus s.r.o., Brno, with the artist's signature. Compact size (60 x 49 cm / ~23.5 x 19 in) makes it easy to display.
A great find for lovers of mid-century-modern-adjacent textile art or Czech design.
Excellent condition. No visible damage, rips, tears or discoloration. Always hung out of direct sunlight in a humidity-controlled home free of pets and smoke.
