Georg Dachstätter, the pioneer, was one of the "Palatines" who migrated in 1709 with his wife Anne Elisabeth and son from the Palatine, Rheinland-Pfalz, through England to America and settled in 1710 at Manor Livingston on the Hudson River. They were among the 92 Palatines to whom lands were granted at German Flats in the Burnetsfield Patent in 1725. The Dockstader Family traces the known descendants of Georg and Anna Elisabeth Dachstätter in the male and female lines to the present time (12 generations). Documentation is included in the text with references to original sources as well as to secondary works. Some of the more significant allied families mentioned are: Countryman, Diefendorf, Dillenback, Ecker, Fonda, Fox, Klock, Lathers, Lipe, Loucks, Nellis, Saltsman, Shults, Snell, Snyder, Van Wie, Veeder, Vrooman, Wagner, Walrath, and Wemple.
