Empty Pole to Flag Stage Magic Trick Magician Gimmick Trick

The "Empty Pole to Flag" is a large rainbow banner prop designed specifically for stage magic performances. Made from a vibrant rainbow ring-printed fabric, it features bright colors and crisp patterns. When collapsed, the prop is highly compact, making it easy to conceal in the hand or inside a silk scarf. With just a natural flick or extension of the wrist, the banner instantly springs open, revealing a massive, colorful flag measuring approximately 6.2 feet (1.9 meters) in length.

This prop is perfect for making a grand opening entrance or as a spectacular finale to a routine, helping the performer achieve a stunning visual transformation from "empty hands" to a "giant rainbow banner."

Performance Effect The routine begins with the magician showing completely empty hands, or perhaps holding an ordinary silk scarf or a short stick. During a moment of audience interaction, a bow, a turn, or a simple flick of the wrist, the small object in hand instantly expands into a vibrant, full-sized flag.

When fully deployed, the banner spans about 6.5 feet (2 meters). Under stage lighting, the rainbow rings radiate outward from the center, creating a striking sense of depth and visual impact. The entire transformation—from empty hands to a massive flag—happens in mere seconds, making it ideal for triggering opening applause or capping off a show with high energy. Thanks to its large size, the flag is also highly visible to audiences in the back rows at festivals, galas, and outdoor plaza events.
