MacKenzie-Childs Bathing Hut Squashed Pot Pink Stripe Retired Enamel FLAWS

Retired MacKenzie-Childs Bathing Hut enamel Squashed Pot with matching domed lid. This whimsical covered pot features hand-painted pink and creamy ivory cabana stripes, bronzed metal edging, an ornate brass-tone finial base, and a yellow floral knob decorated with a pink rose and green accents.

A charming and increasingly difficult-to-find decorative piece for displaying on a shelf or vanity, or for holding jewelry, trinkets, and other small treasures. Measures approximately 5 inches in diameter and 5 1/2 inches tall, including the finial.

The pot is pre-owned and retains its decorative appeal but does have multiple condition issues. There is prominent enamel loss along the lower edge of the lid and an additional enamel chip on the lower front of the pot, both exposing the dark metal beneath. Faint yellow-toned streaking and discoloration are visible across portions of the lid, and the pot’s upper metal rim has a small dent or flattened area. Additional surface scratches, scuffs, small marks, and finish wear are present. The bronzed metal rims and finial accents show patina and discoloration, and black handwritten inventory marks are present on the underside.

Because of the exposed metal and enamel loss, this piece is recommended for decorative display or non-food storage. Please enlarge and carefully review all photographs, as they form an important part of the condition description.
