The National Wildlife Federation's 1965 Wildlife Christmas Stamps: the full folded sheet of seals painted by Arthur Singer, plus the original printed artist card that came with it.
The sheet carries five of Singer's paintings, each shown twice in the flat photo: Steller's Jay, Mountain Goat, Pileated Woodpecker, American Elk, and Wood Duck. The second photo shows the sheet folded, as issued. The artist card — third photo — prints Singer's photograph and biography: Cooper Union graduate, the first recipient of the Augustus St. Gaudens Medal, and the artist behind "The Birds of the World." The card rarely survives with the sheet.
Please note: these are charity Christmas seals (Cinderellas), not postage stamps, and they have no postal value.
Disclosure: this piece comes from a large collection that was stored in a smoking household. It has been aired out, but a faint smoke odor may remain.
Ships flat in a rigid mailer with chipboard protection.
