Paralenz Vaquita Gen 2 - dive camera + longevity spare parts - new

UNIQUE TO THIS PACKAGE

- 3 extra click magnets / activation switches (instead of 1)

- 3 extra selector ring magnets (instead of 1)

- 2 spare battery (instead of 0)

- 1 rubber lens cover (instead of 0)

While Paralenz itself is out of business, the factory isn’t and has 1000s of them (and apparently still produces them).

With the spare magnets and batteries, the product life expectancy is easily 9 years. I’ve used it personally for 3 years (≈250 dives) and started to face the rusting magnet issue, which is an easy 3 minutes fix (video sent after shipping, along with tracking #).

I’m also having a video on how to change the battery, but so far I didn't have to change it, as it still holds its charge, that's to say 4 dives of 60 min if you switch back to main screen btwn each shot.

The features are:

- form factor of a torch. Clip it to you BCD/wing and strap it on with a bungee so you have free hands, like for your torch (safety, convenience)

- dynamic color correction based on depth (no need for post-prod editing)

- up to 4k quality 60 fps

- overlay of diving info over 2 lines on videos (time, date, depth, temperature)

- photo mode

- video mode

- switch from auto correction to white balance adjustment

- micro SD card slot

- GPS for time and adjustment of color correction (blueish waters or greenish waters)

- minimal focusing distance 20 cm

- angle of view 120°

- MOD 350 meters

- typically lasts 4 dives

- recharge over USB-C

Dimensions: 116 x 35 x 38 mm, 155 g.

Anodized alu.

Micro SD card recommendation: 32 GB mini, fast speed (i.e. Sandisk extreme), as slow ones (Samsung) may trigger problems.

What it doesn’t do: macro and image stab, it’s your job to get good buoyancy and trim then 😉.

- hard case

- Vaquita Gen 2 camera

- mask mount

- USB-C to USB-A cable

- lanyard

- 3 o-rings

- 2 springs for the click magnet / activation switch
