This listing is for one set of VNL1638 and VNL1639 equivalent gears for Pioneer laserdisc players. These are the companion gears for the optics motor holder "M-Holder".
These quality replacement gears have been CAD-modeled from scratch as opposed to 3D scanning and is manufactured using an industrial grade resin plastic.
Replacing this part is an intermediate to advanced repair. I’ve taken the time to make a comprehensive replacement video to help minimize the odds of damaging the player while attempting the repair:
Some (but not all) players that use these gears: CLD-D504, CLD-D604, CLD-D505, CLD-D605, CLD-D406, CLD-D606, CLD-59, CLD-R7G, DVL-700, DVL-900, DVL-919
Please note that replacing the m-holder gears may or may not restore your player to full functionality. Especially if the original m-holder and/or gears have been damaged due to shock or poor lubrication, other aspects of your player may need servicing or calibration to restore it to full working order. If your m-holder gears have gone missing or have chipped teeth, these replacement parts will definitely take care of that aspect of your player's issues. If you are having problems beyond the mechanical failure of the m-holder or gears, please consult an electronics repair technician in your area.
