Preserved Desiccated Mummified Opossum Carcass Oddity Curio Taxidermy Display

Preserved desiccated opossum carcass oddity/curio display specimen.

This is a naturally desiccated opossum carcass that has been further dried and preserved. It was frozen, then placed in silica gel desiccant and borax to remove remaining moisture and help deter further decay. Final result is shown in the photos.

Measures approximately 11.5” long as shown against ruler.

This is a fragile organic specimen with extensive natural deterioration, holes, exposed teeth, exposed bones, missing tissue, discoloration, darkened areas, and irregular texture throughout. It has a strong natural mummified/oddity look and would be best suited for a cabinet of curiosities, educational display, natural history collection, dark art assemblage, or taxidermy/osteology display.

Sold exactly as shown. This is not a finished mount and has not been professionally taxidermied. Buyer should expect fragility and handle carefully.
