Rare pair of authentic shamanic Jiwaya Stones

A Jiwaya stone (also spelled hiwaya) is a dense, heavy, and magnetic stone from the high Andes of Peru that is traditionally hand-carved and used by indigenous Q'ero shamans for energy healing and sacred ceremonies. [1, 2]

Physical Properties

• Composition: High iron content gives the stone its dark color, heavy weight, and natural magnetic pull.[1, 2]
• Origin: Found in the Peruvian Andes near Cusco and the Sacred Valley. Many practitioners and artisans refer to it as a black meteorite stone. [1, 2]
• Appearance: Usually dark black or reddish-black, polished or carved into specific symbolic shapes. [1, 2]

Spiritual and Cultural Uses

• Chumpi Stones: Artisans carve Jiwaya stones into star-like pieces with points that represent sacred mountain spirits, called Apus. [1, 2]
• Mesa and Altar Work: Shamans place these stones on their ritual cloths (mesas) as power objects (khuyas) for protection and grounding. [1, 2]
• Energy Healing: Practitioners use them to clear blocked energy centers, balance the physical body, and perform initiations. [1, 2]
• Inca Heritage: People have used these stones since the time of the Incas as medicinal talismans and lucky amulets
