Thanks so much for having a look!
As with most items on my EBAY page, it begins with something I make for myself or a friend and I come to the realization that others may enjoy it as well. This one was for me!
In preparation for the arrival of my TOMY U.S.S. Enterprise Refit, I created this companion music box. I cannot gaze upon her beauty without hearing her theme song, "The Enterprise" from Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
Press the hidden button on the back and it will light up and play her song.
I built it with a sound chamber on the inside. The sound card sits on a tray which is raised from the bottom. There is a speaker port on the bottom of the tray. The entire unit sits on rubber feet, which all add to the sound quality which is quite good for such a small card.
Now with the version 2...
1) You can charge the soundbox without removing the tray. On the back of the box you will find a USB port for charging and another port for access to the power switch which you will not need to use, but it's there.
2) In addition to "The Enterprise" you will also find...
- “Leaving Drydock” (entire song)
- The TMP Enterprise drydock startup sequence only (taken from “Leaving Drydock”)
- The Enterprise startup sequence from TWOK.
- The Enterprise leaving drydock from TWOK.
- Refit Enterprise ambient & sound effects (17)
- Character quotes (34 – from TMP, TWOK & TSFS)
The memory on the card is yours to do with as you wish. You can add additional music or sound effects. Everything pre-installed is also removable giving you the full total of 15.8MB of memory which is around 16 minutes of .mp3 audio at a standard compression rate of 128kbps.
It takes about 90 minutes to charge to full using a USB C cable and will play for approximately 120 minutes on a full charge.
No modification to your TOMY Enterprise required!! Your warranty is safe!
And you don't need a TOMY Enterprise for this sound box. It would make a great addition to any Trek collection!
The base is printed…
