Salvador Dali's artistic universe is replete with the ethereal presence of angels, an enduring motif that permeates his prolific body of work. His personal reflections, as recorded in his "Diary of a Genius" from May 1953, offer poignant insights into his relentless pursuit of capturing the essence of these mystical beings. Dali's profound exploration of the enigmatic nature of angels transcends the confines of conventional perception, delving into the intricate interconnectedness between the celestial and terrestrial realms.
Among Dali's remarkable sculptural creations, the Surrealist and Cubist Angels emerge as profound embodiments of his visionary aesthetic. Mirroring the artist's fascination with mathematical precision and the interplay of androgyny, these twin figures exude an enigmatic allure, heightened by their lustrous jet-black patinas. The "Surrealist Angel" intricately weaves elements inspired by the timeless elegance of the ancient Greek icon "Winged Victory/Nike of Samothrace" from the Musée du Louvre, unveiling Dali's distinctive interpretation of triumph and victory through his revered symbol of "Nike."
Imbued with a rich legacy of artistic excellence, this sculpture represents an invaluable piece of art history, inviting the timeless allure of Dali's creative vision into the sanctum of your home. Meticulously crafted from premium-grade bronze using the esteemed lost wax technique, this masterpiece stands resolutely on a sleek black marble base, bearing the distinctive signature of Salvador Dali, a testament to its unparalleled quality and artistic prestige.
