About this product
Up for auction and fresh to the market is one vintage, circa 1890's, GUARANTEED ORIGINAL, Stud Shank Button with an Egyptian Revival Style Picture Button depicting a Scarab Beetle with red, green, brown and gold paint. The piece is in good, used, condition with the back bent, SEE PICS.
This is a one-piece, solid-post, round-disc barbell stud setup, fixed, one-piece cast button stud (often called a one-piece collar stud, tuxedo stud, or dumbbell button). You are holding an antique "one-piece lapel stud" (historically called a buttonhole stud or campaign stud) .
Because the front face, solid center post, and round back disc are all cast as a single solid piece of metal, it is a historical artifact. Egypt Ladies Lady's Blouse Button
