DESCRIPTION

A stunning, authentic, and marked Art Deco period "End of Day" spatter glass globe lamp shade, hand-blown in Czechoslovakia, circa 1930.

This vibrant 5-inch ball shade features a masterfully executed, triple-cased construction. The primary exterior layer consists of a bright lemon-yellow ground densely packed with mottled, confetti-like bursts of black, orange, and red glass chips. The interior features a layer of fiery orange glass backed by an inner core of white milk glass. When unlit, it displays a complex, deep crimson and yellow mosaic. When illuminated, the cased glass layers filter the light to cast an incredibly warm, fiery, atomic orange-yellow glow. Because of the traditional hand-made process, the pattern distribution is completely unique.

This versatile globe features a standard size, making it a perfect replacement shade for a figural Art Deco table lamp (such as Frankart or Nuart styles), a hanging geometric pendant fixture, or a stylized ceiling light.
