Vintage Cut Crystal Ice Bucket Scalloped Rim Silver Handle MCM Barware 5.75”

THIS IS SOOO PRETTY!!!!!

This one is all about the scalloped rim details and the intricacies of its shape and how it plays with light light. Deep vertical cuts run almost the full height of this beautifully clear vintage crystal ice bucket, terminating in chunky faceted scallops around the base and repeating again along the upper rim. In sunlight, the whole thing throws little prisms and reflections across the table.

Heavy, high quality, elegant and so detailed!

Please note! All of my items are priced to sell specifically to an eBay customer. Listings for high-quality vintage 1920s–1970s, mid-century decor and barware are often heavily marked up on Chairish and 1stDibs—sometimes 2–3x. I LOVE sourcing and collecting and have handpicked every item for its uniqueness, rarity or visual impact. I price them here on eBay to share these things with other people like me who appreciate them. I simply try to make back what I spent, plus the time that goes into sourcing, cleaning, packing, etc. So please enjoy and shop!!

The bucket has a wonderfully substantial cylindrical form with long, deeply cut vertical facets creating a clean architectural rhythm around the body. At the bottom, the cuts deepen into a repeating row of chunky pointed/scalloped facets that give the base a jewel-like appearance.

My favorite detail may actually be the rim. Rather than simply polishing it flat, the maker finished both the outside edge and the band immediately beneath it with a repeating scalloped cut, giving the top an almost ribbon-like border.

A simple silver-tone swing handle attaches directly through the crystal and provides a nice industrial contrast to all that sparkle. The metal has developed some vintage patina and surface wear, which I personally like against the pristine-looking clear crystal.

Measures approximately 5.75” tall × 5.75” across.

The piece is unmarked, and I have not found a definitive manufacturer or pattern attribution. Similar vertical-cut crystal ice buckets…
