Up for auction is an elegant vintage Venetian Murano style hand-blown art glass angelfish figurine. This striking marine sculpture utilizes heavy, high-clarity clear glass to showcase a beautiful internal ribbon swirl pattern in rich amethyst purple and opaque white. The design smoothly stretches upward through the body and terminates in a tall, dramatically curved clear dorsal fin.
The fish is detailed with a delicate, ribbed clear glass clear tail fin and an applied clear glass front mouth snout. The entire sculpture rests on a solid clear pedestal base styled with a beautiful fluted scalloped edge. The underside features a prominent, rough factory break pontil scar, confirming its authentic hand-formed studio glass construction.
- Base Diameter: Approx. 2.25 inches
- Height: Approx. 8 inches
Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, fleabites, or repairs. The delicate ridges along the tail fin, thin mouth edge, and high dorsal curve are entirely smooth to the touch. The glass remains beautifully bright and glossy. Please see all photos for full close-up details.
