Small Vintage Circa 1930–1950 United States Poster Stamp National Philatelic Society Member Unused No Gum (Inventory #- 091826_00311)
What This Poster Stamp Is All About: This Is A Vintage American Membership Cinderella Issued By The National Philatelic Society. The Word Member Establishes Its Purpose As An Organizational Membership Seal Rather Than An Exhibition Label Or Postage Stamp. Such Labels Provided Members With A Small Philatelic Emblem That Could Be Used On Correspondence Or Other Society-Related Material.
The Design Is Printed In Red On Cream-Colored Paper And Centers On A Spread-Winged American Eagle Enclosed Within Concentric Circular Lines. A Small Stamp Bearing A Portrait Is Superimposed On The Eagle's Breast, combining American And Philatelic Symbolism, While Decorative Ribbon-Like Elements Rise Behind The Eagle. Visible Text Reads: NATIONAL PHILATELIC SOCIETY MEMBER. Original Language (English): NATIONAL PHILATELIC SOCIETY MEMBER. English Translation: National Philatelic Society Member.
The Design And Wording Identify The Piece As A Membership Emblem, With No Face Value Or Indication That It Was Intended For Postal Use. Country Of Origin: United States. Year Of Issue: Vintage Circa 1930–1950. Denomination/Currency: No Denomination Or Postal Value. Type: Non-Postal Philatelic Society Membership Seal And Cinderella Label.
