Discover a piece of Kenosha, Wisconsin history with this vintage matchbook from Villa di Carlo, prominently featuring its dual identity as a fine Italian and American Supper Club and the "Home of Carl's Pizza." The front cover showcases an elegant crest with mythical creatures, proudly displaying "Villa di Carlo" and highlighting its reputation as "KENOSHA'S FINEST SUPPER CLUB." This collectible item provides a glimpse into mid-20th century local dining culture, complete with reservation and delivery phone numbers from a bygone era.
The matchbook's design reflects classic advertising ephemera, with its distinctive grey exterior and an off-white interior detailing "Carl's Pizza" and its "You Ring, We Bring" delivery service. It serves as a unique artifact, perfect for collectors of advertising memorabilia, Wisconsin history, or those with a connection to Kenosha's culinary past. The Diamond Match Division, Milwaukee, Wisc., imprint adds to its historical provenance, making it a fascinating addition to any collection.
