Meet the Ursus 45 Full Tang Knife (“Ursus” meaning bear). For those who know knives and use a knife frequently, it is immediately apparent that the Ursus 45 is a high-quality, no-frills, workhorse bushcraft knife. Made in the USA, it now comes standard in CPM MagnaCut Steel instead of CPM S35VN steel. It has a blade length of 4.5", a blade thickness of 0.158" and an overall length of 9.5". It is arguably the best fixed blade in the market for lovers of bushcraft, firecraft and for anyone that loves the outdoors. The ergonomic handle is made of black burlap micarta, providing a durable and comfortable grip even after many hours of use. It is capable of both delicate and aggressive cuts. The spine has a sharp 90-degree angle that works great for striking a ferrocerium rod or scrapping. This knife is perfect for bushcraft, camping, hunting, everyday carry, and survival situations. It is your do-everything trail companion knife. It is your go-to knife in the wild for food prep, processing firewood, carving tools, and building shelter. It has a plain blade edge with a lanyard hole on the handle. White River Knife & Tool has truly produced something special with the Ursus 45!
This knife comes with a very nice Kydex sheath. It features a big drainage hole at the tip to let fluids drain out, tons of lashing points, and a ferro rod holder that comes with a ferrocerium rod with a micarta handle. The ferro rod clip that holds the ferro rod is removable. There is a safety mechanism that slides to completely prevent the knife from coming out of the sheath.…
