This herb is good for creating lucid dreaming states and perhaps for divination, if carefully directed by higher energies and the invocation of a protective force. If you put some into your herbal potions, just say a quick prayer to your Patron Deity and ask for only true visions and the wisdom to discern fanciful daydreams from actual guidance. Still, it’s hard to see much of anything in the mind’s eye without first shaking things up with a little playful imagery. Wild Lettuce Leaf does just that. Mildly sedative, Lettuce (not the grocery store variety, mind you) may help sleep. It has a reputation for leaning toward the frisky side of things as well and might heat up the bedroom. Yet, others mark it as having exactly the opposite effect, perhaps because it makes the brain a bit lazy. John Michael Greer cites Wild Lettuce Leaf as being Luna in Leo, which also makes sense because it tends to amplify whatever ideas happen to wander into the mind. He also points out that it was sacred to Min, the God of fertility in ancient Khem (Egypt).
