NIB bayonet lug/heat shield for the 1897 Winchester shotgun and other military type 12 gauge shotgun builds. Excellent reproduction, blued steel heat shield/bayonet lug , 29-hole/6-row pattern includes the front sling swivel, brass sight bead and attaching screws.
Fits Winchester 1897 solid frame guns with the existing magazine plug.
takedown frame guns with the addition of a solid frame magazine plug and screw.
Fits the Winchester Model 12 2 3/4” field gun with the addition of a barrel sleeve just like Winchester originally did it. Also requires magazine plug and screw like the 1897.
Winchester Model 12 3” duck gun without a sleeve. Still requires the 1897 type magazine plug/screw.
These and other guns may require barrel modification to fit which we can help you with..
Some barrels may need to have the front 4-5 inches lathe turned to .870” for the shield to fit.
All barrels will require three cross barrel grooves in the underside of the barrel to give
