About this product
“Centrotavola Something Else” was designed by the Italian design duo Mario and Marcello Mariotti for Asea in the 1970s. This piece exemplifies the era's penchant for functional yet sculptural objects, often blurring the lines between art and everyday use. Asea was known for producing innovative and stylish home accessories during this period.
This particular design features a series of concentric and offset circular depressions, intended to serve multiple purposes, from holding small items to serving appetizers or condiments. Its minimalist aesthetic and the quality of its construction make it a sought-after collectible for those interested in Italian design of the mid-to-late 20th century.
