Questar Telescope Axial/Top Port Covers (4 Options)

4 Port Cover Options for the Questar telescope. 3 of these thread into the the standard 30mm stock rear port (if your scope was made prior to 1964, it might have a smaller port, please measure to confirm before ordering). The top port is threaded for about 23.25mm. Printed in silver PETG so these are fine to use outdoors in the sun if needed.

Standard Port Cover - Same dimensions as the stock OEM cover (3.7mm tall when threaded on)

Extra Tall Ergonomic Port Cover - 10mm tall with knurling so it is easier to grip in the cold or with gloves.

Desiccant Chamber - Has a rear cover that unthreads, allowing you to fill the chamber with desiccant beads. Comes pre-loaded full with 15g of dry desiccant beads (can be recharged in the microwave or oven when they turn green showing they are saturated). Threads on and has a mesh divider to the desiccant has access to the internal air space of the telescope, great for storage or to prevent unwanted internal dew. Can also be installed on the top threaded eyepiece adapter.

Top Port Cover - 23.25mm threaded cover, 15mm tall and knurled for easy grip. If you mainly use your axial port for viewing/imaging, then this would be a good part to keep the weight lower on the scope and keep the port sealed to prevent any intrusion of light/dust.

*NOTE*: 3D printed threads are more fragile than their metal equivalents, be very careful when threading in that the part is level and is threading in smoothly, if there is resistance, back it out and try again, a better way is to turn it counter-clockwise until the threads click down and engage, then proceed to turn clockwise to tighten, DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN, just lightly snug is plenty.
